2026 VA Disability Compensation Rates - Complete Monthly Pay Tables

Complete 2026 VA disability compensation rate tables. All payments are tax-free at the federal level. Rates are effective December 1, 2025, based on the annual COLA adjustment.

Base Rates (Veteran Alone, No Dependents)

10% = $171.23 per month. 20% = $338.49. 30% = $524.31. 40% = $755.28. 50% = $1,075.16. 60% = $1,361.88. 70% = $1,716.28. 80% = $1,995.01. 90% = $2,241.91. 100% = $3,737.85. All amounts are monthly, tax-free.

Rates With Dependents

Veterans rated at 30% or higher receive additional compensation for dependents. At 100%, a spouse adds approximately $430 per month. Each child under 18 adds approximately $103. A dependent parent adds additional compensation. School-age children between 18-23 who are attending school qualify for additional dependent rates.

Special Monthly Compensation Rates

SMC-K adds approximately $131 per month for loss of use of a creative organ or one eye. SMC-S (Housebound) adds approximately $418 per month. SMC-L (Aid and Attendance) provides higher base rates starting around $4,600 per month. Higher SMC categories (M through T) provide increasing levels of compensation based on severity of disabilities.
