Chapter 35 provides up to 36 months of education benefits for dependents of veterans rated 100% P&T. CHAMPVA provides healthcare coverage for dependents who do not qualify for TRICARE. Priority Group 1 healthcare enrollment means no copays for service-connected conditions at any rating level.
Veterans rated at 30% or higher receive additional monthly compensation for dependents. At 100%, this can add $430+ for a spouse and $103+ per child. Property tax exemptions are available in most states for veterans rated 100%. Survivor benefits include DIC payments and continued healthcare coverage.
